Pamela Murray is a crime writer from the North East of England and is best known for the novels Murderland, Bloodline, and Duplicity, collectively known as The Manchester Murders. She had intended to follow a career in either art or journalism after school but chose to work in a library instead because of her love of books. Murderland, her debut novel, was only submitted to one publisher before being immediately accepted. She has now written a further eight books and is currently working on another.
