Mike Mature (1965- ) was born in Urbana, Illinois, grew up in Newberry, South Carolina and after graduating Newberry College in 1987, became a thirty year veteran of the car business working throughout the Carolinas and Georgia in the Southeast. Primarily working with Honda and Toyota, he has also spent time with Kia, Chevrolet and Mazda franchises where he held positions of salesperson, finance manager, sales manager, general sales manager, general manager and independent dealership owner. Having earned a license to instruct high school English in addition to his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Newberry College, he is enrolled for a M. Ed. in Training and Development from N.C. State University. Through a diverse background in different educational fields and work experience, Mr. Mature combines automotive sales and management experience with instructional content that is informative, thoughtfully written and at times, amusing to read. His first book, “The FB Chronicles,” is a collection of short stories depicting humor and reflective thoughts and deviates from the automotive sales and sales management genre.
