The principal theme in my writing is figuring out workplaces. These settings are fraught with social dynamics, aspirations, and personal crises. I’ve written most about burnout, a crisis in the relationships of people with their work. My background as an organizational psychologist began with Duke University, then Vanderbilt University, the University of Oregon for my degrees. Then working at Acadia University and Deakin University will sojourns to the UC Berkeley, the U of Nottingham, and the U. of Verona along the way. Now I live in Nova Scotia where I write and consult with workplaces on preventing burnout while improving respect among people.
