Marcia A. Zug is the Miles and Ann Loadholdt Professor of Family Law at the University of South Carolina School of Law. Her work focuses on the legal history of marriage and seeks to answer the age old question, "Should I get married?" Her previous book, Buying A Bride, explored the history of mail order marriage in the United States. Her most recent book, You'll Do examines the most common non-love reasons people wed. Zug is a graduate of Dartmouth College and The Yale Law School. She lives in Columbia, SC with her husband and two daughters.
