Lynne Taylor, MD was born in Birmingham, England and emigrated to the United States in 1960 on one of the last voyages of the Queen Mary. She went to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO,and neurology residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Neuro-Oncology Fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center with her mentor, Dr. Jerry Posner (widely accepted as the creator of the field of Neuro-Oncology). She has been a neuro-oncologist at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle for over twenty years before relocating to Tufts Medical Center Cancer Center in 2011. Over the years she has learned so much about living with a brain tumor diagnosis from all of her patients and their families and felt that it was important to share their experiences so that others could benefit from their wisdom.
