Nominated twice for the Carnegie medal, for the Branford Boase Award and short-listed for the North-East teen book award and the Bristol Book Award, Louisa Reid's books for young adults have been widely acclaimed. Her verse novel 'Gloves Off' was Sunday Times book of the week and her latest novel in verse, Wrecked, is as powerfully moving and immersive as its predecessor. Living in the north west of England, Louisa Reid writes primarily for young adults, although her novels are widely read by adults, too. She is an English teacher and spends most of her spare time reading or writing the kind of books young people might love.
