Lee lives on top of a hill in Wellington, New Zealand. She wrote her first novel when she was seven and never quite recovered. When she was a bit older, she studied ancient history and creative writing. Well equipped for modern life, she tried a few different jobs, including archivist and communications adviser. Lee currently has a day job and all that, but when she can, she writes about magic and love. When she's not writing, or talking about writing, she loves reading, mainly fantasy, history, m/m romance, biography, comics, and children’s books. Some of her favourite authors include Ursula Le Guin, KJ Charles, Peter Ackroyd, David Sedaris, Dylan Horrocks, Jordan L Hawk and Diana Wynne Jones. Lee also likes libraries, folklore, (most) things with tentacles, cats and cold beer.
