Author / Analyst / Officer Kaj won the Swedish Indie Book Awards 2014 and was named the most successful self-published author of 2013 by the Swedish trade publication Tidningen Svensk Bokhandel. During a Lufthansa flight from Stockholm to Geneva he got the idea for a novel. Scenes and characters were scribbled on to every piece of paper in the seat pocket. Four years later they became the debut novel Operation Northwind featuring terrorists in Sweden and Russia. The book is a success with 25 000+ copies sold, several top-list placements and has caught the interest from movie production companies. Kaj was born in 1974, he is a Captain (ret.) of the coastal rangers (kustjägarna) and is trained by the SSG, the Swedish Special Forces. He also has a MSc in BA and Economics with a major in finance and runs his own business working as an analyst. He has a keen interest in matters regarding the vulnerabilities of society and crisis management, a theme picked up in the second novel, The Parsifal Directive, which includes a pentest and a sabotage of a nuclear power plant. Kaj lives in Nynäshamn, a small town in the archipelago south of Stockholm, Sweden.
