Juliet Cromwell is the author of two ‘best seller’ novels, A Perception of Sin and A Line of Provenance. Like many children born in the fifties, she was raised in a society caught between the aftermath of WW2 and the progressive movement of the 60s, against a backdrop of the Vietnam War, the Cold War, fear of communism and nuclear annihilation, with a large helping of racial and sexual discrimination. Juliet’s education began at an austere convent school, before, aged seven, she was sent away to board. Within these unaccountable institutions, she witnessed many dark doings. Severely dyslexic, she left compulsory eduction virtually illiterate, and later taught herself to read and write. Now living by the sea with her best friend, who graciously agreed to drop everything so they could spend last summer indulging Juliet’s fascination with history, by walking the Camino de Santiago together. Juliet feels very blessed to have the love of a good family around her, and is forever grateful for the many positive reviews that she continually receives for her novels.
