Juhea Kim is an author, artist, and advocate. She earned her BA in Art and Archaeology from Princeton University. Her bestselling debut novel Beasts of a Little Land (Ecco) was named a finalist for the 2022 Dayton Literary Peace Prize and longlisted for the 2024 Yasyana Polyana Prize, Russia’s largest annual literary prize awarded by the Leo Tolstoy Museum-Estate. Published in 13 countries around the world, it is being adapted into a series. Her second novel City of Night Birds will be published in November 2024. She is donating a portion of the author proceeds from Beasts of a Little Land to the Phoenix Fund, a Siberian tiger and Amur leopard conservation NGO, and from City of Night Birds to Caritas Somalia, a development and emergency aid NGO. She serves as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Tiger and Leopard Conservation Fund and currently lives in London.
