Jonas Adelson was born in 1980 and raised in the city of Akureyri, Iceland. He has always had a deep connection with his land and origins. In addition, he has always felt super grateful to his family for passing on to him the ancient knowledge of the belief and value system of the Scandinavian culture, particularly Old Norse, Pagan, and Viking ones. Although very rare, there are still families in Iceland who have preserved and passed down from generation to generation within their close family circle ancient knowledge about rituals, spells, and the use of runes as practiced by their ancestors. In 2019, after an introspective journey close to nature in Iceland and Norway aboard a van turned into an RV, Jonas decided he would write books to pass his knowledge onto readers around the world. Despite his head start, Jonas wanted to go the extra mile by pushing himself beyond the valuable knowledge he got from his ancestors. Thus, he has spent the last two years expanding his knowledge even further, collecting, analyzing, and cross-referencing all known available information about Norse mythology and ancient Scandinavian culture. Jonas has been a follower of Asatru with his family of origin since the movement's founding in the 1970s. He knows how it is possible to reconcile the ancient Norse belief system with today's Asatruar. His books can truly open the door to a treasure trove of knowledge that will undoubtedly enrich the reader with a new worldview and greater spiritual connection to nature. He currently lives in Iceland's capital city of Reykjavík with his life partner Arna and his baby daughter Alexandra.
