Jo Usmar is an author, editor, ghostwriter and journalist with over 10 years' experience working for some of the biggest names in UK publishing. With nine books of her own under her belt and three for other people, her work has reached audiences all over the world, covering subjects as diverse as mental health, relationships and travel. Her new book 'Friends for Life' distills the wisdom (and ridiculousness) of the beloved TV sitcom 'Friends' into practical lessons for friends, while her 8 books in the 'This Book Will Make You...' series (including This Book Will Make You Fearless and This Book Will Make You Calm) are CBT-based guides to make your day-to-day life happier and healthier. She edited Ben West's debut memoir This Book Could Save Your Life and worked with Gemma Atkinson on both of her fitness and nutrition books. Through her work as a journalist for magazines, newspapers and websites including Women's Health, Stylist, ShortList, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Red and Marie Claire, Jo is well known for her entertaining tone and light touch with tricky subjects. She believes you shouldn't have to wade through reams of confusing medical jargon to find meaningful help or good advice. Jo has appeared on Radio 4 Woman's Hour and Sky News discussing her work. www.jousmar.com Instagram: @jousmarwrites
