J.A. Sloan lives in North Carolina with his wife, two children, and several furry creatures. He writes when not restoring their 130-year old farmhouse, tending the garden, or fishing. He is a retired risk management executive and construction contractor. His primary genre as an author is Historical Christian Fiction. "I like the freedom of fiction and the solid canvas of history. Mixing them enriches them both for me." "I am unique, also, in that I self-edit and publish my own works. I design my own covers and layouts.
