Chris is a weirdo who flies his geek flag with pride. A LEFTOVER his entire life, Chris embraces who he is even at school where he is a fifth grade teacher at a S.T.E.A.M. public school in Nixa, Missouri. He loves comic books, toys, video games, movies, motorcycles, and playing Dungeons & Dragons®. Chris displays his comics and boyhood toys in his classroom, plays D&D® at lunch with kids, and teaches his students to have pride in their uniqueness. As a kid, Chris loved stories but hated reading because it was extremely hard for him. He was what educators call a struggling and reluctant reader. It was comics that turned him into a reader for enjoyment. He started the Hall of Heroes comic book club at his school and uses his love of comics to teach kids to fall in love with all types of reading. Chris lives with his wife, daughter, a dog, and a cat. His favorite superhero is Wonder Woman and the first novel he read cover to cover was Mark Twain's "Huckleberry Finn" in high school.
