Graeme Ross was born in Greenock in 1959 and brought up in neighbouring Port Glasgow. Graeme served as a Firefighter in Greenock for thirty years before retiring in 2010. His writing career began in the 1990s with articles in his local newspaper and magazines such as Film Review and Scottish Memories. In 2004 Breedon Books published his first book, Morton Greats containing biographies of some of Greenock Morton's greatest footballers. Morton Greats was a runaway success, as was the follow up, More Morton Greats. Since then, Graeme's writing career has gone from strength to strength. He is a regular contributor to The Independent newspaper and Backpass magazine, and his work has been featured in many other publications, including The Sunday Times, The Herald Scotland, The Scotsman, Backpass magazine and FourFourTwo. Graeme has also had four further books published, The Greenock Morton Quiz Book, The Scottish Football Quiz Book, The Frank Sinatra Quiz Book, and his latest work, The Western Movie Quiz Book, all to great reviews.
