Born, raised--and most of his life lived--in New Orleans, Gerard DiLeo is a physician, inventor, women's health author, novelist, and newspaper and magazine columnist. He is currently an author in phase II of his life, living his post-Katrina life with his wife and his children in a former decommissioned Catholic church in Hull, MA. He misses crawfish very much. He is the author of both non-fiction ("The Anxious Parent's Guide to Pregnancy," "Ovarian Cysts--the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly") and fiction (♂ The Novel--scifi, Siren--horror, Slider--psychological thriller, Eddie H. Christ--religious/historical satire, and STARLESS and Bible Black--short stories collection). He is an award-winning contributor to Theprose.com and on Vocal.com. His interests, reflected in his writing, are science, cosmology, humanism, humor, psychology, horror, theology, time, and existentialism, and he usually mixes these and other interests together in a gumbo for each book--delicious AND nutritious! And then, of course, there is the constructed language, DiLingo.
