George Pallas has a lifelong interest in problem-solving, which has led to an interest in true crime and mystery novels. Reading the Perry Mason novels and Sherlock Holmes stories as a teen stoked this interest. George was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and lived near Nashville during his formative years. After high school, George studied computer science at Vanderbilt University and regularly appeared on Nashville area radio stations. Upon graduating, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, and began a career in information technology. From an early age, George’s mother, an avid reader, imbued him with a love of books and reading. He’s carried that passion all his life and remains a voracious reader today, devouring dozens of books each year. Often, devoted readers develop an interest in writing, which is true in George’s case. Working in information technology allowed him to do technical writing. Producing proposals, client reports, and technical documentation provided a creative outlet, but these works appealed to a limited audience. George’s foray into fiction writing began when a coworker introduced him to National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo is an annual challenge to write a novel of at least 50,000 words during each of November. In November 2019, he accepted the challenge. The result was a rough version of "Stalking Horse," the book that would become his first published novel. George retired from the computer industry in the summer of 2021. He now devotes his time to writing projects. Besides “Stalking Horse,” his short stories appear in anthologies from the Ohio Writers Association and “Well Read” magazine. He occasionally contributes to “Review Tales” and writes book reviews for Whispering Stories, a British book review website. In addition to books and short stories, George maintains a true crime blog on his website. Today, George lives in Chicago's North Loop with his wife, Sharon, and their dog, Sheldon Cooper.
