Frank grew up around Kansas City, Missouri, the origin of the Santa Fe Trail, and the great western migration from Westport landing. He spent his teen years chasing around Liberty, Mo, Jessie James hometown, where Jesse invented Drive-Thru banking. A biomedical research scientist in his day job, Frank writes short stories and novels to keep the family traditions alive. Frank has won the Will Rogers Medallion Silver Award and was a Finalist for the Western Fictioneers Peacemaker Award in 2019 and a Finalist for the 2020 Will Roger Medallion Award for Best Western Novel. Frank and his wife, Liz, live on an off-shore island in the Gulf Coast. Blue water & white sand beaches-smooth sailing. We weathered Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and little sister Hurricane Sally in Sep (16 years later.) That 'Cane family keeps huffin'&puffin'. but our cottage is still standing.
