Erin Osmon is a Midwest native and veteran of Chicago newsrooms whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, Billboard and many other print and digital publications. Her first book, Jason Molina: Riding with the Ghost, was named a Best Music Book of 2017 by Pitchfork. Her second book, John Prine, about the beloved songwriter's landmark debut album, was released as part of Bloosmbury's 33 1/3 series in November 2021. She's a monthly contributor to Uncut magazine, and an instructor at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. She also writes longform album notes for box set reissues of historical music.
