Dr Naomi Potter is a UK GP and British Menopause Society accredited specialist doctor. She has a wealth of experience as a doctor having worked in the NHS for 16 years and as a doctor for two decades. She has always had a passion for women's health, writing her first textbook Rapid Obstetrics and Gynaecology as a medical student. She went on to train in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before becoming a GP, and training as a Menopause Specialist under the mentorship of Nick Panay, the former chair of the British Menopause Society. She is the founder and clinical lead of Menopause Care Ltd, the largest clinic of British Menopause Society accredited doctors in the UK. They provide bespoke, holistic, evidence based specialist care for perimenopausal and menopausal women via online and face to face appointments around the country. Along with expertise, Naomi has the strong belief that the most important attributes in a menopause doctor are to be able to listen and be kind. This is the ethos at the heart of her clinic. Well known as the co-host of a Menopause series 'Midweek Menopause Madness' with Lisa Snowdon on instagram as @drmenopausecare, they discuss all aspects of the perimenopause and menopause in an open, honest, light hearted style. Her skill is explaining the medical facts in a simple, easily understood way to empower women into making their own decisions as to how they should manage their menopause. As well as this weekly session, her instagram and website menopausecare.co.uk has bite sized educational videos and notes to help every woman navigate this potentially turbulent time. Naomi collaborates regularly to educate organisations and charities with menopause support advice and works to increase awareness and improve understanding of perimenopause and menopause throughout all sectors in the UK.
