As a native Chicagoan, Donna grew up with a love for music and art, studied both, and at sixteen became one of the youngest performing musicians in Chicago. She later put her career on hold to become a fulltime wife and mother. Her youngest, Erik, plays a major role in her memoir, but she also had a beautiful, disabled daughter named Lisa, and was equally proud to cheer her on as she competed in swimming, placing a strong second in the 1975 Special Olympics. After moving to Paris, Donna spent twelve exciting and fantastic years in a loving relationship with her “Parisian fancy man,” Pierre, while pursuing her second career as a full time artist/oil painter. She is pleased to have been a founding member of the thriving Association d’artistes; “Les Seize Ange.” Among others, she presented two major exhibitions yearly for twelve consecutive years, and participated in the “Salon Des Indépendants” at Au Grand-Palais. Donna was honored by presenting two solo exhibitions in the Université Sorbonne’s prestigious “Galerie Soufflot” with a much appreciated standing invitation to return for a third year. To this day, she remains artiste en permanance at the Paris art gallery, A la Palette d’Or. Donna’s oil paintings displayed at: hotbaguettes.weebly.com And Follow Erik at: bellaiceskatingevents.com
