Desmond Murray has been a Dao practitioner for over 50 years. He was a senior student of Chee Soo and he inherited the Lee family Dao system in 1994 when Chee Soo passed away. He has been welcomed with open arms and developed long lasting friendships with Daoists all over China. Desmond was given the Daoist name Lee Yuan Ming by the Chinese Taoist Association in recognition of his abilities and contribution to Dao practice. Desmond is the first ever westerner to be honoured as a Vice President of the Shandong Province Wushu Association. Desmond is also the first ever Overseas President of the Weihai Wushu Association. You can meet him at courses run by the the International Taoist Society in the UK and abroad. To further Dao practice, Desmond has established the Sea Cloud Hall – a training centre located on the south-west coast of Tenerife. He is also in the process of establishing a Sea Cloud Hall in Leeds, in the North of England. It is Desmond’s great hope that Lishi Dao practice will improve the lives of many in years to come, giving them health, peace and happiness.
