David Random graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and began his subsequent career as an Art Director and Creative Director at Boston- and New York-based advertising agencies in the late 1960s. There he created numerous award-winning national TV commercials and magazine ads for products ranging from cat food and sneakers to bottled water and hot dogs. Since his retirement in 2003, he spends time at his New Hampshire studio where he creates Steampunk rocketships from repurposed and vintage artifacts. His rocketships have been featured in numerous galleries and museums as well as on TV (NH Chronicle) and in movies (www.RocketshipMovie.com). His book "CONNECTED" has garnered glowing reviews as well as the coveted Pinnacle Award in 2018 in the category of "best crime novel".
