Claire lives in England, close to the quiet woods where she walks her dog every day. She is best known for her funny stories and reworkings of traditional tales for children, which can be seen on her website www.claireobrien.co.uk. She is a creative writing tutor for Oxford Centre for Fantasy and an active member of SCBWI. She is currently working on a fairy tale history for adults and has also written what she calls a 'thinking woman's pulp fiction novel', Unholy Family, as Carla Antoni (available on Amazon) In adult non-fiction, Claire recently wrote Buddhism and the Menopause (available on Amazon). When she's not writing or walking she is either baking too many cakes or trying to improve her French.
