Chris’s love of storytelling was nurtured by his early career working in theatre production. Since then, he has worked in numerous management roles but always continued to indulge his passion for writing. He has developed scripts for TV, theatre and more recently took to novel writing. Living in Sheffield, England, Chris’s fictional books are inspired by the city’s first probation officer and the gritty, often perverse, characters listed in his registers. He likes to write against the backdrop of the early 1900s and is drawn towards the premise of redemption and triumph over adversity.
