C.W. Wells began his professional life as an award-winning reporter before turning to a career in education. He coached high school football in Texas and grew up in a small town. Wells' most recent thriller, No Heart to Kill, is the second book in the Gale McClanahan series. The first features McClanahan in LONESTAR, a story about treachery in pro football. Wells' debut novel, Eight-Man Cowboy, captures the essence of a small Maine town and has received praise from readers who enjoy sports, romance, and small town politics. Wells' books have a growing readership, and as a writer, he enjoys giving author talks at libraries and encouraging others to write.
