Bill Davidson

I guess you could call me a writer of speculative fiction, but what I produce lives mainly in the horror genre. left a career in local government early to concentrate on writing something more exciting than policies and reports. In the last four years I've written five novels and loads of short stories. My first novel, 'The Orangerie' will be published in late 2021 by Close to the Bone Publishing. The Orangerie is a psychological thriller that thinks it's a time travelling murder mystery. I've had well over 50 short stories appear in quality publications around the world, including Ellen Datlow's highly prestigious Best Horror of the Year Volume 11. My first collection, 'Old Gods, New Monsters' was released by Dark Lane Books in November 2020. It's not a collection of horror stories, although there is a fair smattering in there. Rather it's a collection of strange tales, from fairy story to science fiction. As Tim Jeffreys puts it "Bill Davidson has a proven gift for imagining nightmarish scenarios and getting under the readers skin"
