When I'm not writing I'm busy building an off-grid home in the Alaskan wilderness. Three years of living in a tent while clearing ground by hand and milling lumber wasn't fun, but you can't beat the feeling of accomplishment when you set foot into the cabin you built yourself (especially when hurricane force winds are expected in two days!). I used to have a high paced life with a corporate career, but the long hours and stress of that lifestyle eventually led to some health problems that I was lucky to catch in time. Deciding it was time for a change, I sold the house, hooked my boat up to the truck and towed it cross country to put on a barge and ship it to where I've wanted to live since being stationed in Alaska back in the 90's while in the Army. Hope you like the first book in the series, the second is already being written.
