Hello, Readers and Potential Readers of my contemporary novel, “Puppy Love”. I’ve gotten good feedback on a work I enjoyed writing, but what I also got (and I must laugh a bit) is that this is not a light novel and that it is not ‘cute’ and that there are unexpected themes. I’ve even had some to say they did a lot of crying. Yes, I have to agree with them and that I was unwittingly giving the impression that “Puppy Love” is a cute little novel. It’s not. It is about love, family, and tragedy—life, really. I am a journalist by profession and that, too, is my passion as well as writing. I enjoy exploring family and marriage, and how persons though not blood related to you can be drawn into your family, a facet in “Puppy Love” when a former girlfriend is involved in a dysfunctional family. Also, to the ladies, this one also has a football hero. But not only for that reason, because guys can relate to this one, too. That’s another reason why it isn’t as light as the title might suggest. But darn it! I tried to change the title, but nothing else would stick. It’s as if the story, the characters, and that darn title all had a life of their own. How weird is that! Shortcut to my reading taste: I have a love for those Russian novels—and yes, I have read all of “War and Peace”—and works of all niches. What can I say? I love to read and write. I don’t want to give away too much in Puppy Love’s story line, so I shall more than appreciate your giving “Puppy Love” a read by Kindle light. Thank you.
