AUTHOR Annie Turner, was born in Forest, MS and later moved to Moss Point, MS where she has lived for most of her life. She attended the Moss Point public schools until she was promoted to the tenth grade. She did not pursue further education, a fact that she has always regretted. However, she did not let that discourage her from going on with her life or taking care of her responsibilities. She went to work on her first job at the age of eighteen at a company called Pavco Industries, located on River Road in Pascagoula, MS. She was employed at Pavco from August, 1974 to September 18, 1974. On September 18, 1974, she and her brother quit that job and walked to Ingalls Shipbuilding Corporation. She was hired in the 27 Department as a laborer and worked on that job from September 18, 1974 until she became disabled in 2013. Annie dedicated her life to God in 1998. She now loves being a servant of God to do the work He has for her to do. She is a God-fearing woman who loves doing the work of a missionary including feeding the hungry and helping the sick or just giving someone a word of encouragement to bring them hope. She strongly encourages anyone who is going through hard trials and persecution not to give up. She has personally experienced years and years of persecution but now understands why she had to go through them. The suffering wasn’t just for her. God revealed to her that the suffering was for someone else who cannot hold on. God gave her the scripture 1 Peter 4: 12-13 which says, “Never be ashamed to acknowledge who Jesus is.” This scripture keeps her humble and gives her peace of mind. She also relies on Revelations 1:18 which says, “I am He that liveth, and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore and have the keys of hell and of death.” Amen
