About this listen
Monsters—shadows, gills, wings, and more. The things I fear crave me…and they’ve been here the whole time. Hiding, waiting, and wanting. Lurking, sneaking, and watching.
Traveling the country camping was supposed to be an escape from the strange and unusual that clings to my family. My family’s calling to fame terrifies me. The ghosts, the hauntings, the supernatural—I want nothing to do with it.
Too bad it wants everything to do with me.
Where did the trip first go wrong? Maybe when an old friend with dark secrets insisted on coming—a rising rock star whose fame is now putting me in the limelight.
Then there is the West Virginia local legend. A monster myth of cryptid fame. A campfire story. But there are those that believe—that are willing to do whatever it takes to capture the monster in the mountains.
Maybe even use humans as bait.
Maybe even use me.
Author Note: This is a monster romance with multiple love interests the female lead will not choose between. There are mature themes including spice, significant violence, language, and etc. This is book one of a series and will be slow build, meaning not all love interests are introduced in book one.

enjoyed it
Run and Hide is the first book in the Myths and Monsters series. This is a reverse harem monster romance unlike any that I've read. The story follows Ava, who decided to travel the country to escape the strange and mystical that seems to follow her family. She's a medium and the supernatural are drawn to her but she wants nothing to do with it. She's accompanied by her ex-step brother and best friend Caspian, a famous rock star who decided to leave his group to follow Ava on her trip.
The story had a spooky aspect to it and the author did a great job with world building and creating the right atmosphere for it all to play out. There was a great mix of horror, romance and steam in the story and I really liked the monster aspect of the story as it was a unique storyline. I loved that we got their POV in the story as it added another layer to the plot.
What I didn't like was the heroine Ava. She annoyed me throughout the entire story especially with the constant disbelief of the supernatural, something she grew up with and was fully aware of its existence. Additionally she did some really stupid things in the story that just left me exasperated with her on more that one occasion.
This was an interesting tale with quite a bit of violence once the villain was introduced and some hott steamy scenes between Ava and her monster. It ends in a cliff hanger but was a good start to the series. I would highly recommend it to lovers of monster romance.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel. The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters and really brought the story to life. Their voices ere clear and understandable and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Monster Reverse Harem Romance
Run & Hide by Beatrix Hollow is a monster reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michelle Price, Gregory Salinas, and Jay Alder. This is the first book in the Myths and Monsters series.
This is the second book of Beatrix's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed getting Ava, Caspian, and Mothman's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ends on a cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the next book in the series Hide & Seek.
Michelle, Gregory, and Jay did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like monster romances, paranormal romances, erotic horror romances, or reverse harem romances.

Tentacles!
This is my first time reading the author outside of a short story! I loved the insane amount of weirdness this book brought! It hit so many of my favorite Monster tropes & k*nks! Lol to name a few breeding, special monsterpeens, magical amounts of 💦, stalking, and just plain crazy Alphas! Lol
The narrators were fantastic!!! I loved having 3! It drew me further into the story, and I can't wait for the next installment!

Wow!
This was a book that pushed me out of my comfort zone, not for the spicy scenes, but for the creepy factor. I have done my fair share of dark romances, but I think this is the furthest I've gone in the Horror romance genre. I really enjoyed the story and it keep pulling me back into it, so much so that when I finished this at 2 in the morning only the creepy factor stopped me from continuing. It was more graphic than I expected but the writing really painted a detailed picture of what was going on. The narration was great! I was completely sucked into the mental state of these characters and I felt their fear, pain and especially their love for each other. I may have to wait until my imagination stops running wild to start the next book, but I'm still excited to see where the story goes next.

4 stars
This was my first read by Beatrix and this was pretty interesting! It took me a bit in the beginning to understand what was going on but the paranormal aspect of the story kicked in quick. Ava's family is into the ghost hunter investigations and Ava doesn't want to acknowledge what she inherited genetically. Caspian is Ava's ex stepbrother who is also in a band and is something else, even with his secret and he's obsessed with Ava. I actually liked him. He tags along with Ava for her photography job. I don't think I've read about a Mothman before as I feel like he did come off as comical at one point, so that was new to me. This was just different and I look forward to the next on as it ended on a cliffhanger.
Narrated by: Michelle Price, Gregory Salinas, Jay Alder were really great for their characters.

Converted
This author has converted me. I’ve never been a fan of monster and spooky stories, but I do love romance so I gave it a shot. I’m so glad I did. What an amazingly interesting story. The spooky world that was built is amazing and I was captured by the narration and the words that came together to build a great story. The narration was excellent.
