Summary
Struggling artist Avery Ross is barely scraping by. Bartending at a trendy New York City restaurant for an overbearing boss and two weeks away from losing her apartment to a condo developer, she's desperate for a break. So when she's offered a temporary housesitting job, she takes it.
Living at one of the poshest addresses in Manhattan is like entering a new world - one that catapults her into the orbit of billionaire Dominic Baine, the darkly handsome, arrogantly alpha resident of the building's penthouse. What begins as a powerful attraction soon explodes into a white-hot passion neither can deny.
Yet as scorching as their need for each other is, Avery doesn't expect Nick's interest in her to last. Nor does she dare to dream that the desire she feels for this scarred, emotionally remote man could deepen into something real. For Avery has secrets of her own - and a past that could destroy her, and shatter everything she and Nick share.
Contains mature themes.

A LOT of sex - became tedious
Great story well paced, Avery's secrets were kept throughout gave the story more edge. Dominic (Nick) what a hottie! Normal billionaire if there is such a thing.

Unrealistic
To repetitive and drawn out, Avery even has trouble right at the end of this book to be honest, found this frustrating!

Got bored and skipped to the end
I read to end of Chapter 26, then skipped to the last 2 Chapters - it got a bit samey. Unfortunately what I suspected with how long it was taking to get to the point, this has a cliff hanger - I don’t do cliff hangers!!

Better than expected worth to keep going
Normally I don’t like cliffhangers but it was clear from the start that this was a multi part story. It started slow but got more intriguing with each development, some parts of the story were a bit unrealistic and didn’t add to story or characters but overall the story developed to an interesting and complex view of a relationship. It built suspense and mystery and now there is no way to let it go before knowing what happens next.

Rather dull and drawn out
If there had not been curiosity about the hidden secrets in this I would not have bothered to carry on listening. Too much overly detailed and hence tedious description of sex scenes that become rather repetitive - and fails to be as erotic as most writers in this genre.
Unlikely premise that someone would lend an expensive appartment to an unknown person on the spur of the moment - and it goes on from there.
