About this listen
A strict older man. A sassy film star. Can opposites attract?
After taking early retirement from the police force, Liam is happy avoiding people and tending to his roses. Or he was, until Felix moves in next door.
Felix is taking a break from his acting career, even though he's on the cusp of stardom. With his cheeky, persistent, and very naughty behavior, he gets under Liam’s skin instantly.
Felix needs someone who can set him boundaries - man who can handle him firmly, but with love. Liam doesn't think he needs anyone, until Felix brings much needed sunshine into his life.
Will Felix choose stability and love, or a life of glitz and glamour?
A Boy Made of Sunshine is a light hearted gay romance with a grumpy ex-detective, a brash new neighbor, a cute Dalmatian puppy, and lots of brattish behavior.
©2020 Colette Davison (P)2020 Colette DavisonFelix is an actor, a young, bright, happy sunshine person, with a new Dalmatian puppy.
Liam is a retired grumpy police detective.
The two on paper do not work. So will they work as neighbours?
Felix buys the house next to Liam and begins a daily ritual of annoying his new grumpy neighbour.
This is a great, well-written book, set on the coast of England.
A must-read if you want something that's not too taxing but well written. All the happy feels.
Dan Calley does an incredible job of the narration, easy to listen to.

I love those audiobooks where the MC's have clearly different voices, and while Liam and Felix's voices were mostly different, there were times when it blurred together. And sadly, but it didn't give me any feelings. Colette wrote an amazing book with all the feels, but the narrator couldn't bring it to life for me. It was only 75% on my scale, it wasn't bad but neither really good. Good for listen to it once.
+ after watching the live reading in Colette's fb group, I have to re-think my review, because watching Dan Calley readint the book was really good and I enjoyed it. It was only one scene, but it was much better this time when in the audio. I don't know why, but it is what it is.

I loved the dynamic between the gruff and serious Liam and the sunny and sassy Felix! add in a adorable puppy and some exceptional Daddy/Boi times and this story lifted my spirits, made me laugh and made me fall in love with these beautiful characters.
Dan does an excellent job narrating. I loved the contrast of gruff and sunny between these two and their unique dialect.
I just loved it!!!
sensational!
