Thirty-three-year-old game designer Dex Walsh spends an entire year devoured by sorrow after the death of his wife. As a last-ditch effort to regain his joy, he sells everything and joins Overtaken Online. Expecting to spawn in a noob-friendly area with guidance from his personal assistant, he instead finds himself naked and alone in a dark prison cell rapidly filling with gas. Under-leveled and not knowing how to escape, he has no idea how far he will be able to progress as long as he pushes forward and doesn't give up.

After Dex Walsh rescued the Warrior-Medic Frida and the Battle-Marine Hiko, and they together saved a community of mutated beings from a sudden daemonorg attack, they’re now finally able to escape the filthy Prison-Lab. Having felt the daemonorgs’ macabre ingenuity and brutal power on their own bleeding bodies, Dex and his companions see only one solution to stopping these horrific beasts from devouring the entire planet.

Dex, Frida, Hiko, and Tasha successfully opened the Godmadrigan Army and the Celestial aliens up to forming an alliance against the Daemonorgs. Now they’re assigned the crucial mission of eliminating key parts of the daemons’ on-ground strongholds, since weakening the beasts’ parasitic grip on the planet is needed to enable their long-awaited defeat.

With the unexpected release of the Daemonorg Colossus, Dex and his team face the biggest challenge yet as they tackle the seemingly impossible task of figuring out how to defeat a demon so huge it dwarfs even skyscrapers. With the army’s main operating base transformed into burning, smoking ruins, only one thing is clear: The Colossus must be stopped. Now. Before it destroys every Godmadrigan community on the planet.
