Isabella Espinoza

After a portal opens to spread darkness and monsters into the world, a bite transforms former Detective Isabella Espinoza into something both more and less than human. Things get worse when she returns home to discover her best friend has been intimidated into doing dangerous research on the creatures that now prowl the darkness.  

After superhuman detective Isabella Espinoza and smuggler Jack McCrae rescue Amari from a camp of slavers, she presents them a new case. Her own murder. Amari believes she was killed and resurrected by a mysterious figure known only as the Necromancer. As his first success, the Necromancer wants to recapture Amari, and he’ll stop at nothing until he has her.

After journeying to the land of darkness and defeating the Necromancer, superhuman detective Isabella Espinoza faces danger once again. Now she and Amari must race back to their own world to warn people of the coming danger: a horde of new, terrifying monsters spilling across the portal. These creatures threaten to overwhelm the unprepared people in the nearby settlements just as Isabella’s old nemesis resurfaces. Camilla Arkwright plans to use these new monsters as a way to seize power over the remaining pockets of civilization in the area.
