Erryn's World

When a new dungeon is born, it wants nothing more than to have the most vicious monsters, the most cunning traps and the most shiny of loot. There is only one problem...but it's a rather big one. It finished its first floor years ago, but it still hasn't been visited by any adventurers! In order to find someone—or something—to explore its floors, or perhaps just to find someone to talk to, this dungeon will have to go way off script. But it soon discovers that going off script brings problems of its own, and that adventurers are not the only thing this world is missing.

There was a mistake, an error. No king ordered his summoning to battle a demon lord. No god sent him to save the world from destruction. In fact, the closest thing this world has to a god would have been very upset at his presence. Fortunately for him, by the time she noticed, it was too late to interfere. A soul had fallen into the world that did not belong there. A soul not bound by the Law of the world. A soul that was free.

Now aged seven and on the cusp of a class change, Peter desires to live a quiet life in his home village until he comes of age. Unfortunately, Erryn, desiring access to his thoughts and memories, has other plans. When a routine trip to the forest almost turns deadly, Peter ends up where no child is supposed to be: hunting monsters in the town dungeon.

Stripped of his immunity, Peter's soul has been laid bare to Erryn. Fortunately, she has accepted the importance of his free will, even permitting him to try to invigorate the world's stagnant civilization. As his first small steps quickly snowball out of control, he's left wondering exactly what the consequences of his actions will be.

With his successful attempt at clearing the Dawnhold dungeon almost costing him his life, Peter has sworn off his previous reckless behavior. With a new brother at home, there's plenty of work to do in the village, and things only get busier when an old friend unexpectedly turns up. Unfortunately, while Peter is living peacefully, Erryn is not doing quite so well, and the consequences will be felt the world over.

With Erryn having sacrificed herself to save those lost in the disaster of the Emerald Caverns, it falls to an of-age Peter to take action when new reincarnates are born. Unfortunately, without control of the System or the Law, there is little he can do to halt the contingencies Erryn left behind, leaving him to search desperately for a solution. Alas, desperation can easily lead to mistakes. Meanwhile, Cluma's coming of age leads to the resumption of delving activities, this time as a party of two.

With the mana-sucking rifts inscrutable to System skills, those Erryn tasked with watching over the world in her absence seek help from the one person in the world able to utilize magic without System interference: Peter's younger brother. It doesn't take long for Peter to link the anomalies with Earth, giving him his first clue to the cause of his reincarnation. Knowing the anomalies pose not only a threat but also an opportunity to both worlds, he's left wondering how much information is safe to share. Or worse, how much he can share given the interference of the Law.
