Dreams of a Lost Youth describes the story of the lives of several young passionate students, a playboy; a poet; four students with different ideologies; and a science student, in Tehran, Iran, before and after the revolution that toppled the Shah in 1979. It describes how they joined these various groups that opposed the Shah’s dictatorship and how they suffered after the revolution led by the Ayatollah Khomeini government.

Benno Neuburger, a modest land investor from Munich, and Anna Einstein, daughter of a cattle dealer from Laupheim, marry in 1907. They begin their lives together with great hope. It is a relatively prosperous time and a very optimistic one for German Jews who are enjoying a social renaissance in the industrializing, urbanizing rising star that is Germany. It’s not clear that this good fortune might begin to unravel.

ln a satirical style reminiscent of Dave Barry or Andy Borowitz, "The Novice Teacher Survival Guide" takes a tongue-in-cheek look at education’s sacred cows. On a more serious note, the final chapter is filled with a wealth of resources that will make any teacher’s life easier. A great gift for veteran teachers, too!

But this is not a book just for lawyers, although any lawyer worth her or his salt will find it hard to put it down. Anyone interested in what it's really like to receive an unexpected phone call late at night after a long day in court and have to face a sudden legal emergency which requires you to drive across the state to provide urgently needed legal services to desperate clients who have nowhere else to turn should listen to this book.
