    Henry O. Godwinn (Mark Canterbury) and Phineas I. Godwinn (Dennis Knight) began their wrestling careers separately before joining forces in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE).     The duo debuted as The Godwinns in WWF in 1996, characterized by their hillbilly gimmicks, complete with denim overalls and the notorious slop bucket. Managed initially by Hillbilly Jim, their persona encapsulated the rural tough man image, appealing to a broad section of wrestling fans.
