I love history & this is brilliantly written & performed. I have just found it on Audible & the whole story has kept me riveted during a decorating project. I can't wait to here what happens next.

I am a fan of Dan and read quite a few of his books. His knowledge on the subject is epic and masterful. Unfortunately, I am struggling with this series. As I listen on Audible, I am getting the adverts and there is only so many times one can hear one advert. The narrative seems forced and worked, probably to make it accessible to a wider audience. I much prefer Dan's reading of his books style. There is also quite obvious editing as the tone of the narration feels added on and the volume and tempo changes. Out of respect for the author will persevere, but not Brilliant, sorry.

Overwhelmed by adverts but content was good. Too much time spent on adverts and sponsors. Otherwise enjoyable
