The long-awaited showdown between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) 14KOs and Tyson Fury (34-1-1) 24KOs has come and gone. In the end, we got what we wanted and then some. A tightly contested showdown between two giants of the sport, who fought for all the glory and the coveted Undisputed Heavyweight Title. Usyk would emerge victorious and become Undisputed Champion for a second time in as many divisions. Fury would suffer the first defeat of his career, something that many could not fathom happening.

In the end, we may very well get these two to do it all over again later this year, should the rematch clause be exercised by Fury's team.

In the undercard, we witnessed Kovalev return and suffer another defeat, Agit Kabayel stopped the Cuban sensation in Frank Sanchez, Joe Cordina relinquish his title against a hungry and determined Anthony Cacace & lastly the long-awaited rematch between Jai Opetaia & Mairis Breidis came to fruition and a hell of a fight that it was.

"Loma" dominates Kambosos handing him the third defeat of his career and the first stoppage loss of his resume. Lomachenko finally captures the Lightweight IBF Title that eluded him for so long. Overall, it was an interesting fight that showed us improvements in the arsenal of Kambosos as well as the ever so captivating boxing mastery and IQ of the veteran Lomachenko.

Let's hope that we get to witness all of the current champs attempt to unify this division once again, which will pin the likes of the current champs in Tank, Shakur, Loma and the winner of next week's showdown between Navarrete vs Berinchyk.

The IBF Lightweight title is the one belt that "The Matrix" Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3) 11KOs was missing when he attempted his fate at unifying the entire Lightweight division four years ago against then IBF Champion Teofimo Lopez.

Loma would fall short on the scorecards and instead lost all his belts to Lopez as well as his standing atop the division. Lomachenko again came up short in his second attempt at Undisputed when he faced Devin Haney. Loma remains hungry and with his sights dead set on reaching the throne. He can secure the title that has long eluded him with a victory tomorrow night.

In his path, the former unified Lightweight Champion "Ferocious" George Kambosos Jr. (21-2) 10KOs. Kambosos reached the same heights as Lomachenko within the division and defeated the man that derailed Vasyl's plans in Teofimo Lopez. However, he would go on to suffer a similar fate against Devin Haney in his own attempt at becoming Undisputed.

It is a high-stakes, crossroads type of affair for these two former Champions, who are respectively looking at returning to the top of the Lightweight division.
