About this listen

Against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters, Dr. Virginia Marilyn Edwards (Emmy Award-winner Kerry Washington) seeks out Agent Scott Thomas (Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne) at a secretive government headquarters. Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

Could she be the actual Virgin Mary? Could he be Doubting Thomas, whom she must convince? And what of the two other men - Jonah and Daniel - who have somehow found their way here as well and seem to hold fresh clues to this global mystery?

Written by Randy McKinnon and produced by Audible, Simpson Street, and QCODE, this supernatural thriller boasts a star-studded cast that also features Critics Choice Award-winner David Oyelowo (Selma), Daniel Dae Kim (Lost), Asa Butterfield (Sex Education), and more. Follow the signs and take a leap of faith - before it’s too late.

Now available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Amazing

Can't fault the cast. Every single one of the was brilliant, as expected. The storyline however, is as the tag says. 8 episodes of nonsense, and I love sci-fi/fantasy.

Preachy religious crap

Jumps backwards and forwards through the timelines, where none of the story is anymore interesting anyway. Characters are all cutouts of one another, and it is difficult to differentiate them throughout the story (except with different accents). Would be a good premise, which goes nowhere. I'm actually pissed I listened to it.

Absolute waste of time

The performances in this were excellent but the story felt very bland and more like Christian propaganda until the very end when there was what felt like a shift in tone or something. Up into the last episode it is basically people telling stories to try and explain the events in the world rather than actually doing anything about it then at the end it finally feels like something is about to happen then it’s over… I feel vey meh about it, but as I said all the actors were excellent and Daniel dae Kim should definitely do more voice work

Ok but not great

This was an amazing production. I have to say I was blown away, even though it was a little bit difficult in parts to keep up. However hang on in there because this book was a wild ride. I loved every minute of it!

God this was good!

With such a stellar cast and fabulous story how could this fail? It didn't. I was blown away by just how good this is on all levels. Listen with headphones to fully appreciate. More please.

So good

Very original, I hope a second season come, if not giant cliffhanger. Great storyline!

Spoiler alerts:

I like a bit of religious conspiracy theory stuff but the story was weak & some of the bible references were a bit dodgy.

One of the plot points was that the character who has an immaculate conception is a black woman and that this was a powerful message. I'm upset that neither the author nor the actors knew that Mary, Jesus' mother, wasn't white. Surely if the actors had known this they wouldn't have continued with the job.

And the fact that the characters who were affected by the phenomenon all had biblical names and were repeating the stories therein. Really tenuous.

Deluded
