Annoying main character, wonderful female friendsh

Lou, the protagonist, is one of the most annoying fictional characters I've come across. I persevered because the story line was gripping and I loved the friendship among them. The narration/acting was too exuberant for me and really jarred while the women were having fun. Maybe it's an Australian women thing....

Been a women of the same age I could totally relate to the women in this story, had me laughing out loud and made me smile loads. What more can you ask for. Will be trying one of Nikki's books. Thank you
