• Terri Werner: Flowing into the Future
    May 22 2023

Terri Werner is a transformational change guide who can help you have more ease and flow in your life by using neuroscience-based practices for your own 'way of being' and for your conversations with others.

We are often unaware of how we can dramatically improve our performance, relationships, and well-being. Whether you want to implement change or turn conflict into collaboration, she will give you hope, optimism, and strategies to navigate our stressful, challenging times.

Terri's mission is to help you see new possibilities, believe in yourself and your capability, have the courage to try the previously unimaginable and move from ordinary to extraordinary in both your personal and professional life.

In this episode, Natalie and Terri discuss:

    • Transactional learning and transformational learning.
    • How to be a better observer?
    • The power of ‘forward focus’
    • The power of asking effective questions
    • The difference between moods and emotions, and why they are both important.
    • The importance of grounding, centering, and intention.

    Key Takeaways:

    • There are two ways that a person could navigate the search for solutions and that’s transactional learning and transformational learning. The way we do transformational change is not by doing things differently, but by being different.
    • For a real transformational change, we must shift all three: our story, our mood, and our emotions, and the embodiment of them must all change. The more you know about how your body, mind, and emotion congruence works, the more you can achieve what you want, more of the time!
    • We get too caught up in what we can do to fix the past that we become stuck in the present. Being forward-focused means focusing on creating something new and that starts with being present. We need to redefine ‘problems’ as the gap between how things are now and how we want them to be.
    • We have to be supremely intentional about what we're focusing on. The quality of your life depends on the quality of the questions you are running on.
    • You have much more power than you think to design your mood, and to design a mood and way of being that has a greater chance of getting the results that you want.
    • Throughout your day, practice grounding techniques. When we ‘move from center’ as we go through life, it not only changes our own brain and energy and power, it shifts the energy between us and the people around us.

“You are far more powerful than you know. The world needs you to please be very intentional about how you show up every day and affect the people around you.”  -  Terri Werner

  • Melissa Etherton: Business Made Simple! Scaling with Automation & AI
    Apr 24 2023
Melissa Etherton is a trained transformational facilitator, feminine empowered business coach, and a love-based marketing strategist. She’s been working with businesses online since 2013 and specializes in creating evergreen systems, automation, workflows, integrations, and leveraging minimalist tech & team to build a business that supports your lifestyle. Melissa is a highly skilled professional who empowers conscious and self-actualizing entrepreneurs to achieve their full potential. She leverages her expertise by connecting individuals with their life purpose and using that as a catalyst to fuel accelerated business growth. Through her unique approach, Melissa expands and deepens clients' vision, bringing it to the level of complete embodiment. Her dedication and vast knowledge and experience in the field make her an incredible asset to any entrepreneur seeking to enhance their personal and professional growth. In this episode, Natalie and Melissa discuss:Why should we invest in automation and content assistance? How misalignment causes burnoutHow to automate and simplify your business processesMaintaining authenticity in a new world of AI-generated contentCreating an evergreen funnelTime-saving tools and ideasThe thing that contributes most to your business Key Takeaways: Building a business where you must be there every day doesn't make sense if your goal is to have more time and energy freedom. Begin to leverage technology and automate your business. By doing so, you reduce the time it takes to come up with ideas, and you can create a business that supports your lifestyle and is unique to you. It's true that there is no wrong way to do business, but when you don't align what you do with what you're really after, you're going to become dissatisfied with your work, burnt out, and unfulfilled. Make time for self-checking in and asking yourself: am I aligned with my goals, what I want to do, and the type of life I want?Make use of AI-generated content to spark ideas and get past writer's block, but remember to always fact-check when using AI tools for research, always be specific when sending out your queries, and don’t offload your whole content writing to AI tools.Keep your writing's personality and voice intact despite the benefits of AI tools in generating content. Never ever cut and paste generated content and publish it as your own, and don't shy away from being your own editor. It's not the length or terms that determine if people will finish reading your post, it's whether or not there is no fluff and whether or not you are creating a transformation for them.Look at the big vision of what you want in your business, and then break it down into smaller components so that you know what tech you can use to help automate as much of that as possible. It comes down to what is important to you and what you want to use to do business your way.You can use a variety of tools to make your business easier, but as you review these tools and try out their free trials, it is important to reflect on your own needs and use them as much as possible so that you can decide whether you need the tool in your business or not.Practice getting centered, grounded, and connected to what provides meaning to your soul. What contributes most to your business is not the doing, but the being. "Your tools and your tech can be like your VAs if you build it the right way." – Melissa Etherton Gift: https://melissaetherton.com/evolvingentrepreneur/ Connect with Melissa:Website: https://melissaetherton.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sacredbusinesscreatrixPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/melissa_etherton/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/melissa.etherton/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCghQWUJeFUw36z1Su-UwH7g Connect with Natalie:Website: www.ionmarketingltd.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nataliealcantaraionmarketing/Instagram: http://instagram.com/natalieionmarketingFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ionmarketingltd Show Notes by Podcastologist: Angelica RaycoAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. • Tom Johnston: People Strategy: The Secret to Scaling
    Mar 20 2023

Tom is an executive & corporate consultant specializing in delivering high-impact leadership and organizational coaching and training. He combines years of C-level business operations experience + extensive executive-level coaching experience with data-backed tools and software to help you align your business strategy with people strategy. The result is an exceptional performance. With 20+ years in global corporations as an operations executive and extensive change management experience, Tom’s on a mission to help leaders create people-first organizations equipped to adapt and thrive in today’s ever-changing business climate.

In this episode Natalie and Tom discuss:

    • The leadership gap in organizations
    • Leadership needs compassion.
    • Hiring for the head, heart, and briefcase
    • The double bottom line
    • Resilience and Success

    Key Takeaways:

    • One of the primary needs of leadership today is self-awareness. As leaders, we are responsible for influencing our people, and how we influence people is determined by how we show up in the workplace.
    • The first step to becoming more intentional and mindful is to be aware of how we are showing up right now. However, leadership requires compassion as well. Give yourself grace and see yourself from a compassionate point of view, then begin to see others from the same lens, taking into account that everybody has something going on in their lives.
    • When you hire for the head, the heart, and the briefcase, you’re hiring the whole person. Hiring the right person for the right role sets up that person for success, and their success is also your success as the leader, and therefore, the success of the entire organization.
    • Leadership that is compassionate is weak is a myth. In fact, compassion drives success in the workplace: major improvements in productivity result from greater employee involvement, and morale improves among managers and employees.
    • Resilience is key to overcoming the challenges that life throws our way, and recovery starts from being humble enough to admit that something is wrong and having the courage to ask for help.

Based on her own hard-earned lessons, she helps them create strong alignment between their identity and operations so they can expand their reach and grow their team!

Her deep conviction that solopreneurs can change the world fuels her mission to help 10,000 solopreneurs by 2030. She created SoloHUB as a safe space for solopreneurs to explore their authentic brand identity, learn how to scale their businesses, and support each other along the way.

    • Overcoming your self-sabotage
    • Connecting with your sage voice
    • The power of staying true to yourself
    • Handling speed bumps in your entrepreneurial journey

    Key Takeaways:

    • No matter what's going on, never forget to give yourself grace and actually take a break.
    • It is your self-sabotage that prevents you from achieving your dreams and goals, so in order to stop yourself from holding back from your potential, you must be able to recognize your self-sabotage, push it aside, and then reconnect with your sage.
    • By the act of breathing and anchoring to your breath, and tapping into your senses, you are able to reconnect to that center and to that sage voice.
    • Stay true to yourself. It becomes so resonant and engaging when you share from a very authentic level, and it gets people to learn more and want to be part of the journey.
    • Failure is your guru. Those moments of failure and speed bumps will serve as opportunities for you to learn something new that will guide you in a new direction.

  • Jennifer Harshman: Entrepreneurs Can Be Great Authors!
    Nov 21 2022

Jennifer Harshman learned she had a gift for editing when her third-grade teacher pulled her aside secretively and asked her to correct the errors in the note that was going home to the parents.

Jennifer’s been writing and editing professionally since 1992—everything from brochures to books, and in October 2022, she released Your Book Bakery: Making it easy to write a book. She’s edited more than 200 books and 30 million words, and a few of her editing credits are NYT Bestseller 48 Days to the Work and Life You Love, USA Today bestseller The Millennial Whisperer, and a book that hit #1 in the business category on Amazon: The Bezos Letters.

Contact Jennifer. She’d love to hear about your writing dreams. That is, when she’s not fulfilling her roles as a homeschooling wife and mom and a book dragon with a big appetite. In her free time, she likes to play with paint and toot a flute.

In this episode Natalie and Jennifer discuss:

    • The importance of doing what you love as an entrepreneur
    • Reasons why entrepreneurs should write a book
    • Writing a book doesn’t have to be hard
    • What authors should consider to make their book a success
    • Publishing your book

    Key Takeaways:

    • Do what you love, and the money will follow. Take advantage of resources to learn what you need to know, build those skills, and do your own thing, making it something that fuels you and inspires you.
    • You should write a book to serve other people and to attract the right people to you, as well as repel the people who are not the right fit for you or aren't ready for your service at the moment.
    • Having mental obstacles and mindset barriers makes writing a book difficult, and the only way we can actually begin to write a book is to introduce the mindset that writing is easy. You can make progress in just a couple of minutes a day.
    • Having an outline is a good start, but having a mindset is even more important. Put all your doubts aside and focus on making some progress every day, no matter how small it may be.
    • You can either publish your book through a publishing company or self-publish it, but be careful of vanity presses or vanity publishers who take your money to publish your book. You'll have to wear many hats when self-publishing, but remember you don't have to do everything all by yourself. You can hire people to assist you in certain areas.

"With the right attitude and resources, you can do amazing things. And if you will choose the first, you will find the second." – Jennifer Harshman

  • Aisha Winfield: Freedom 2 Create
    Oct 10 2022

Aisha means life. She masterfully brings ideas and events to life with her agency AIB Marketing & Consulting. For over 20 years she has worked with entertainment companies, nonprofit agencies, small businesses, and entrepreneurs to amplify their vision. She is unapologetic about her passion for young people and making space for family.

In this episode Natalie and Aisha discuss:

    • Why vision is vital to small businesses
    • What young people need today
    • The importance of self-care and wellness in business and entrepreneurship
    • Bringing your ideas to life
    • Having a strong network of support
    • Success factors for executing an outstanding event

    Key Takeaways:

    • Think about what you want to bring to the table and why you want to have that vision; you'll never know how it could grow over the years and be of greater value to the world.
    • The skills that young people acquire in non-traditional settings can be applied in life skills as well as other areas if given encouragement and opportunities. Give them the chance to try new things to discover what they love and what they're passionate about, as well as their skills, without putting too much pressure on them to decide what their future holds.
    • Maintaining your energy and enjoying the things that you do can only be achieved with self-care and wellness.
    • Learn how to collaborate and change your scenery sometimes - this allows you to get feedback, learn from others' experiences and expertise, and share those ideas to unleash your creativity.
    • Do not take people for granted. Nothing beats the experience of having the strong support of family and friends who stand by you no matter what's going on in your life and guide you to accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
    • Connecting with others is what people crave, so think of ways to make engagement and interaction fun so that people can still form those connections within your event.
