About this listen

These days it can feel like life is a never-ending to-do list, and it's increasingly difficult to balance work and life. People everywhere are unhappy about their work-life balance, and we're seeing growing numbers of people reporting burnout.

Comedian and ex-lawyer Alice Fraser has experienced the costs of work-life imbalance first-hand, so she teams up with neuroscientist Ash Ranpura to look for solutions to the demands of modern life.

They journey from the workplace, which is literally killing us, through to our smartphone, beds and even brains, to work out where we're going wrong and find some science-based solutions.

I really enjoyed the duo in their previous recordings so I was very optimistic about this one being informative as well as engaging. And I'm not disappointed - Alice Fraser and Ash Rampura have a nice, light and entertaining way of presenting solid science knowledge while talking to actual researchers or experimenting on themselves to figure out how things work. It made my housecleaning much more enjoyable.

Very enjoyable listen

Once again another great book in this series. It was interesting & thought provoking on both a personal level & a workplace wellbeing level. I have really enjoyed all of the books in this series hope there will be more, the presenters work really well together...their personalities enhance the listeners experience. Loved it. I don't know why I had to HEAR someone say it's okay to say no. But hearing it resonated with something inside me. Brilliant podcast. Very insightful conversations and it just made me realise that I am not alone.

Not many new insights for someone that's into life/work hacks, too much talking/ too little pracal advice, good to start with if you getting into work.

Good value being free.
