OK

Was a good performance, I love the story but there was a big section that was so different from the original I felt it lost it’s way. Totally understand adapting a story to fit timescales but it detracted from the true story. Other than that, enjoyable 👍🏻

Really good dramatisation

As a Sherlock Holmes obsessive, I normally flinch at any deviation from the canonical text. Here, it happens here and there, but only to add extra drama to an already dramatic text, and to help the narrative. Colin Salmon is a little wooden in places but on the whole it is absolutely excellent.

Just great production and great acting. I have heard many versions of this story and this is amongst the best.

Awesome story, performed brilliantly

Enthralling tale of mysterious goings on in Devon. Acted superbly by the cast and with excellent sound accompaniment. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

The hound of the Baskervilles

Still my favourite Conan Doyle story and very well read by the cast. I'll look for more like this.

Absolutely brilliant

I loved it so much that I listened to it in 2 evenings. A very gripping story brilliantly adapted and played out by a fantastic cast.

Where’s Sherlock?

Not having read Hound of the Baskervilles I was intrigued to listen to this free podcast. I can honestly say I enjoyed the whole thing and could hardly turn it off. The story was easy to follow with all the actors doing a great job bringing the atmosphere of the story to life. (Although I thought Stephen Fry was a little over the top. In fact it made out that Sherlock Holmes was a mere off stage participant). I don’t know whether that was part of the original Conan Doyle book but Watson seemed to dominate the whole story. I believe I will have to read the original book to see if this podcast was written just to bring Watson alive.
