Did We Really Need This Podcast?

I listened to this podcast in full but found my self asking 'why is it here?' Surely the whole case was a police matter, they were looking into all the evidence and indeed brought the case to a conclusion.
It just seemed to me a little bit too sensational, the con was so embarrassingly obvious (to everyone except Jane apparently) even from episode 1.
The episodes when Jane lost control and was screeching & squawking were cringeworthy, and the way she described Miranda looking at Google images were way off the mark.
I'm afraid to me it said more about the podcaster rather than the content itself,
A totally unnecessary podcast imo.
