  • Summary

  • After down-on-her-luck and deeply in denial Katy Perry (no, not that Katy Perry) gets fired from her job as a blogger, she sets her sights on a new path to guaranteed fame and fortune: podcasts. Specifically, making a podcast about the time she told her ninth grade classmate, Kenny Daniels, to “Eat shit.” This launches her on a determined quest to gain his forgiveness…and possibly get written up in HuffPo.

Katy’s journey is full of twists and surprises, and what starts as a dead end quickly reveals itself to be a strange, darkly comedic mystery that unravels her entire life as she knew it. Even though Katy is wrong about so, so many things, she’s not wrong about Kenny Daniels. And she’s going to prove it.

Eat Sh*t Kenny Daniels is an 8-episode parody of podcasts, true crime, and delusions of grandeur, starring Alicia Silverstone. [Contains Mature Content]

Clueless, The Sociopath Version.

saved by the ending, literally. without the ending this was like Alicia just going through her Clueless role, but as an adult, and with overwrought and convoluted plan to get redemption for something she did. As a kid. As Cher Horowitz with sudden onset epiphany would have done I suppose.
Midway through I really wanted to just stop. Her character was clueless BEYOND redemption. I could find no way of rooting for her or to be anymore invested in her miniscule self entitled cause. But I stuck on cause I believed that no podcast could be so laughably bad.
My perseverance was somewhat vindicated with the ending. Somewhat because it took such a dramatically turn without any build up, that it just felt like it was rushed out within 1.5 episodes to tie up loose ends. It feels like we were pranked on for the first 7 episodes before the ungratifying reveal that hey, we were actually just going in a cricle
listen only if you have infinite patience for stupidity, and if you are a fan of Clueless
