• God will make us the head and not the tail if we follow HIM

    (This podcast was previously recorded and published on April 19, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... When we follow God, HE makes us above only and not beneath. It is by the Holy Spirit leading us in the decisions of this life that we know what to do. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth and teaches us all things concerning the issues that are blocking our path as we set out to accomplish goals. The Holy Spirit even shows us things to come, as needed. (John 14:26 & John 16:13) Deuteronomy 28 ... 1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto HIMSELF, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in HIS ways. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. God began teaching me these things about being led by the Spirit of God as soon as I was born again in 1975. I know nothing more important than these godly concepts. == John 14:26 Jesus says ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. I Corinthians 2:1-6 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: ...   • I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

    (This podcast was previously recorded and published on April 26, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... To me, Jesus is The Word and The Word is Jesus. When I have a word from God on the issue of this life, I have the strength I need to go forward in that word. Also the Word from God, given by the Spirit of God, shows me what to do in the matter at hand. And the Word from God by the Spirit of God comforts me in difficult times. The Word is everything to me ... I can't imagine living without The Word. This Podcast contains specific examples of the Word brought to me by the Spirit of God, especially in difficult times. == Philippians 4:13 Paul said: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Psalm 16:8 I have set the Lord (the Word) always before me: because HE is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. John 10:10 Jesus says: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (the Word) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Psalm 119:105 THY word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:130 The entrance of THY words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. The apostle Peter tells us: "Be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless." No one knows the day or hour that Jesus will return. But when JESUS returns we must be found by Jesus, at that moment, to be in peace, without spot, and blameless. We must live that way constantly. Otherwise we might be left on this present earth to go through the great tribulation while others in the church are taken out and placed in the New Jerusalem. For after the great tribulation, this present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God by fire according to Peter. II Peter 3 In this Podcast, we see ways that we live without spot and blameless. == Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.   • Prayer: Getting ourselves ready for the return of Jesus

    (This podcast was previously recorded and published on March 6, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... The apostle Peter tells us 3 things we need to do to be ready for the return of Jesus. Peter says, "Be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless." In the midst of all the problems of this world today, be found by Jesus "in peace". There is a way to keep ourselves in a state of peace even when there are multiple problems daily. Being "without spot" and "blameless" requires a diligence in following the scriptures daily as the Spirit of God calls our attention to those scripture and also we can't be without spot while we associate in various corruptions, such as corruptions at church where doctrines have been changed from the specific scriptures. At the judgment seat of Christ, it is The Word who judges us. We can't "fall away" from the doctrines set by The Word and be without spot and blameless. == I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us: 15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM. James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Titus 3:10-11 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. Isaiah 26:3 THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE. I Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing. I am acquainted with a woman who is so intent on saying only that which is right in the sight of other humans that she renders herself totally void of godliness though she "religiously" attends a church. If we are of God, we uphold the Word of God which is often offensive to other people. Concerning homosexuals & lesbians: Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Concerning divorced women remarrying: I Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. Concerning man marrying a divorced woman: Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. A person can approve all manner of sin by silence. (But you could lose your own soul by denying the Holy Spirit if HE wants you to speak) == 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.   • Falling asleep ... while you are still living

    (This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 31, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... During the last days, many will grow cold. They are like dead men walking. And they do not realize they are asleep to the happenings around them. They grow cold to the Word of God and become numbed by that which they choose to see and hear. A woman in our church group tried to follow a scripture by her own wisdom rather than turning to God. This is deadly! I spoke with her about this. Several years ago, she gave some testimonies showing what the Spirit of God told her as HE taught her. But in the recent story, she was just following her own flesh (dead) and she didn't recognize what she was doing. We really have to work to stay awake ... for iniquity abounds today and if we allow ourselves to sit among church friends who will not follow God we will also fall asleep with them and become as dead, just going through the motions ... or living in fear and reacting to that fear. I've seen a woman in our church group be turned over to a reprobate mind by failing to follow the Spirit of God when HE brought ideas to her mind and by following her own fleshly ideas which were devilish. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; I work at my salvation daily and even then I'm sometimes fearful and have need for extra meditation in scriptures to hold to the way of God. Some of you do nothing but attend church. And you don't even recognize when that church group goes in a way opposite to the scriptures in the New Testament Bible! You have no idea your name can be blotted out of the book of life. Jesus said: Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, == Matthew 24:12-13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure (in the Word of God) unto the end, the same shall be saved. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 2 Corinthians 5:9-11 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM (God). 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; ... 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog
