• 165. One Way To Keep Faith When Life Gets Hard | Christian Encouragement
    Nov 6 2024

Do you ever feel like you're getting tackled from every direction?

In this episode, we're talking about hearing God's voice through the chaos-- AND one way to keep the faith as we move through it all.

And, I'm sharing a story about Zac and his football game last week.

The video of the awesome play I'm talking about is coming soon... join my email list to see it first, or follow my YouTube Channel.

    🙏 Key Encouragement:

    • You're not alone in your struggles
    • There's a cloud of witnesses cheering you on
    • Sometimes, victory means just keeping your feet moving
    • God's voice is louder than the opposing crowd

📖 Scripture Reference: Hebrews 12:1-2 - "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders..."

🎵 Featured Song: "Winning Streak" by Jelly Roll Key lyric: "Nobody walks in on a winning streak"

  • 164. "Don't Quit Before the Miracle Happens"--Quick Encouragement --AA Has The Best Simple Quotes
    Oct 18 2024

Hi friend! 👋 Today's episode is short and based on the famous recovery quote, "Don't quit before the miracle happens."

I first heard this quote in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous, and I LOVE it.

It has made even the most difficult days brighter for me.

I encourage you to find quotes like this or use this one to remind yourself on hard days, things will get better.

One of my other favorite quotes is, "This too shall pass... it may pass like a kidney stone, but it will pass!"--laughter is also the best medicine when you're struggling. :)

Grateful you're here. Much love, ❤️Dani

  • 162. Kicked in the teeth by life? Don't let it kill the dreams inside. There's still time! Jesus is NOT done with you yet!
    Sep 11 2024

    Hey friend!

Life got you feeling like Mike Tyson just gave you a right hook? Yeah, we've all been there.

Remember, your holy mess is exactly where God does His best work.

So, if you're feeling kicked in the teeth by life, tune in, and let's rediscover those dreams together. Because guess what? Jesus is NOT done with you yet!

I share a bit about dropping our daughter off at college for the first time, and wow, has it been a doozy season adjusting for me? Change is never fun! But it can be purposeful. Our time at her college reminded me how hopeful youth can be. It reminded me how, after living through different aspects of life, we can become cynical and even lose hope.

So, that was the inspiration for today's episode. I hope it blesses you!

    🔑 Key Takeaways:

    • Your sensitivity is a superpower, not a weakness
    • Working through your pain can lead to your purpose
    • It's never too late to dream again

    📖 Scripture Reference: Romans 15:13 (Check it out – it's a game-changer!)

    • Keep an eye out for our upcoming "Feel Better Journey" group coaching program

  • 161. When Life Feels Backwards: Christian Recovery and Faith-Based Healing
    Sep 7 2024

So, I had this weird morning where I wore my shirt backward (don't ask 😅). But you know what? It got me thinking about how we sometimes feel in life - like everything's just... off.

So today, I'm briefly talking about:

    • Feeling stuck or out of place (been there!)
    • Getting through the tough stuff without losing hope
    • Why we seriously need our people for this journey
    • Ditching the victim mindset (it's hard, but worth it!)
    • Remembering God's got our back, even when it doesn't feel like it

I also mention a song by Lauren Daigle and that old "Footprints" prayer - because sometimes we need the reminder, right?

Bottom line: You're not alone in this mess. There's hope, I promise. Let's keep trudging through together!

    So much love to you!

    Dani :)

    P.S. I'm cheering you on...

P.P.S. If this hits home and blesses you, please share it because sharing is caring! 😉

  • 160. A Christian's Journey of Faith and Resilience Through The Hardest Days and Biggest Struggles. Inspiration from Guest Deborah Schultz
    Sep 3 2024

Not many of us would choose our struggles or the paths of hardship we have to walk out in this life.

So when you meet someone walking through hell, and they say, "I wouldn't trade or give up all I've gained walking this hard road." --I think it's 100% worth listening to what they say!

And that's our guest today. My dear friend Deb Schultz is with us, and her journey has been inspiring and challenging. She's walking through stage 4 ovarian cancer, and it's been a difficult and long road. And somehow, through it all, she's finding joy and purpose within her suffering. Her resilient spirit and attitude are contagious.

I hope her words of wisdom and encouragement bless you! And she's hilarious! Enjoy this conversation and getting to know Deb.

    Glad you're here,

    Dani

  • 159. One Of The Real Reasons You're Feeling Distant From God--Bridging the Gap: Reconnecting with God Despite Past Hurts
    Aug 18 2024

    159. One Of The Real Reasons You're Feeling Distant From God--Bridging the Gap: Reconnecting with God Despite Past Hurts

One of the Real Reasons You're Feeling Distant from God—Bridging the Gap: Reconnecting with God Despite Past Hurts

Feeling distant from God? You're not alone, friend. In this episode, we explore how our earthly relationships, especially with our parents, can impact our connection with our Heavenly Father. But don't worry—there's hope!

    ## Key Points: - The surprising link between past hurts and our relationship with God - A simple, one-word prayer to ground you in triggering moments - Learning to accept God's acceptance (it takes courage!)

    ## Quotable: "Faith is the courage to accept acceptance." - Paul Tillich

    ## Try This: When you're feeling triggered or distant, take a deep breath and simply say, "Father." Notice how it shifts your perspective. You may notice some resistance or distance from God by even saying "Father"--whatever comes up, don't judge yourself--just notice what comes up. That's the first step in getting to the deeper root of what may be causing some deeper issues in your life.

Remember, you're more loved than you can imagine and less broken than you feel. Keep trudging through your beautiful mess—God's right there with you.

Song: Check out CC Winans' "The Goodness of God" for an extra dose of encouragement! Scripture mentioned: Psalm 103

    Enjoy.

    Much love, Dani
