Summary
A few short years from now, eco-terrorists unleash the worst attack the world has ever seen. Over 25,000 autonomous combat drones are released in Manhattan from the hold of a ship. Hundreds of thousands are dead, and the entire island is evacuated and quarantined in just a few days' time.

Really great
Not normally my style and I found some of the descriptions of guns and machinery a bit waring at times but overall I really enjoyed it. Great, likeable characters, unique storyline concept and well crafted.

Fantastic and scary view of the future
Jon Conroe is rapidly becoming my favourite author. I’m yet to find one of his books that isn’t immediately engaging ( waiting on the next demon accords book) and thought I would try some more of his work. I wasn’t disappointed

Wow that was fun!
As per the narrator is top notch despite the fact I have it on 1.7 to 2 speed. Does anyone listen to them on 1? The story is flowing and straight in on the action. Machines Vs Humans on Manhattan Island and there is so much more to come. Brilliant stuff.

Really enjoyable exciting read…
Liked how the author thrust us into this world, this man made hellscape where a gunman sniper class tries desperately to stay alive while attempting to make a living in the most dangerous place on earth!

Great book!
He is starting to become my new favorite author.
Listened to all he has until now and was not disappointed.
Started with The Demon Accords and I loved it.
This is and cannot be as impressive as that since The Demon Accords are insane but it is still a great book and a good series.
Really recommend giving it a try and all the other books he has.
Looking forward to seeding what he will write next.

What an amazing story finished it in 1.5 days !!
John Conroe is an amazing Sci-Fi fantasy author, all his books are phenomenal, James Patrick Cronin is a wonderful narrator, its like watching a movie unfold, im sad it was over so quickly, looking forward to the next one !!
